Danielle Elliott has been the Assistant Emergency Management Coordinator since 2026. As the assistant EM Coordinator, she provides day-to-day detailed work in planning, implementing, and evaluating the emergency management plans, reviews previous situations, identifies problem areas, and develops options for improving response and recovery. Additional duties include assisting local fire, law enforcement and EMS with call response, incident management, and assist in coordination and operation of the Emergency Operations Center. She supervisors the EM Specialist and oversees the radiological emergency preparedness program, and is responsible for assisting with daily operations of the EM Division. Elliott began her public service career as an Firefighter / EMT with Benhaven Emergency Services in Harnett County. In her career, she has worked as a career firefighter and 911-dispatcher exposing her to various kinds of emergencies and creating a working relationship with fire, EMS and law enforcement. She is a certified firefighter, previous EMT, hazardous materials operations level and technical rescuer with vehicle extrication specialty. Prior to her work with Harnett County, Danielle was employed as an Emergency Management Specialist for Durham County Public Schools. She possesses a bachelor's in Emergency Disaster Preparedness from Western Carolina University.

Jackson Friese has been the Emergency Management Specialist since 2026. The EM Specialist is responsible for assisting with daily operations of the EM Division under the direction of the Assistant Emergency Management Coordinator. The daily operations he assists with includes day-to-day detailed work in planning, implementing, and evaluating the emergency management plans, reviews previous situations, identifies problem areas. Additional duties include assisting local fire, law enforcement and EMS with call response, incident management, and assist in coordination and operation of the Emergency Operations Center. Friese has been tasked with focusing specific training and abilities to be the local point of contact for mitigation of emergencies and recovery to better assist the emergency operations team after a large incident. He is a graduate of Campbell University with a Bachelors Degree in Homeland Security and Emergency Management.
