Harnett County Juvenile Crime Prevention Council Accepting Proposals for Youth Programs

The Harnett County Juvenile Crime Prevention Council (JCPC) is now accepting proposals from organizations to receive funding for Teen Court programs that will serve delinquent and at-risk youth in Harnett County.

JCPC anticipates receiving $27,723.00 from the North Carolina Department of Public Safety (DPS), Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Prevention for the fiscal year 2024-2025.

JCPC is seeking organizations that have programs serving teens with negative peer relationships or school behavior problems that address:

  • Negative/ delinquent peers/gangs
  • Family parent skill building
  • Alcohol/substance abuse
  • Elevated violence/aggression/weapon/firearm use

Organizations receiving funding for programs are required to have a local match of 10% and must use funding during the state fiscal year 2024-2025 beginning on, or after, July 1, 2024.

Proposals must be submitted by 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday, March 27, 2024, and the full JCPC funding request for proposals can be viewed here

Applicants will be required to complete training for submitting an application through NCALLIES and additional assistance will be available for anyone who is interested in applying.
