Harnett County Board of Elections Announces Precinct Changes for voters in Western Harnett County

Harnett County, NC- The Harnett County Board of Elections (BOE) seeks to inform residents in Western Harnett County of changes to their voting precinct for the 2026 General Elections. These changes are designed to better serve the County’s growing population and improve the voting experience in Western Harnett County.

Voting locations for Harnett County include:

  • PR 8 - BLACK RIVER, Angier Elementary School, 130 E McIver St, Angier
  • PR 23 - BOONE TRAIL, Boone Trail Elementary Gym, 1425 Adcock Rd., Lillington
  • PR 24 - COATS/GROVE, Coats Elementary School, 585 Brick Mill Rd, Coats
  • PR 25 - EAST AVERASBORO, Dunn Community Building, 205 Jackson Road, Dunn
  • PR 26 - ERWIN/DUKE, Erwin Parks and Recreation Gym, 810 S. 16th Street, Erwin
  • PR 28 - NORTHWEST HARNETT, Northwest Harnett Fire Department, 6015 Christian Light Rd, Fuquay Varina
  • PR 29 - WEST AVERASBORO, Harnett County Early College, 910 W. Harnett St, Dunn
  • PR 32- CENTRAL HARNETT NEILLS CREEK, Buies Creek Volunteer Fire Department, 112 Marshbanks St, Lillington (Buies Creek)
  • PR 33 - BARBECUE/BENHAVEN, Western Harnett High School Gymnasium, 10637 NC 27 West, Lillington

  • PR 35 - ANDERSON CREEK/FLAT BRANCH, Anderson Creek Primary School, 914 Anderson Creek School Road, Bunnlevel

  • PR 39 - CENTRAL HARNETT LILLINGTON, Lillington Community Center, 607 S. 13th St. Lillington

All affected voters in Western Harnett County will see these changes reflected in their voter registration records. New voter cards with updated precinct and polling place information will be mailed in advance of the election.

“The recent precinct changes in Harnett County are aimed at improving the voting experience for our residents. By splitting the large Barbecue and Anderson Creek precincts, we can reduce wait times and ease congestion at the polls. Additionally, minor adjustments in Johnsonville, Lillington, and Stewarts Creek were made to align precinct lines with main roads, making it easier for voters to identify their correct polling place,” said Claire Jones, Board of Elections Director.
